Well, made it halfway. Attempt 10 saw some success and some failures. But I found out what the problem with P90X is. It’s so damn boring.
I have grown eternally tired of being locked in the cage that is my apartment so as of this second, I’m changing up the game. I’m getting outside. I need to step up the cardio because I really need to get in shape now. I suddenly have deadlines.
So with that, here’s to the end of my latest attempt to conquer P90X. On to running outside and hitting my gym. And after my family cruise in 11 days (don’t think for a second I’m not counting down the days) it’s back to the real workout palace, American Combat Club. No one knows how to work your can into shape more than former boxer Mike Bell.
Seeya Tony. It’s been real. Just not real enthralling. Time for a change.
Happy Valentine’s Day. And Happy Leg Agony Day. Good workout today. The legs needed a big wake-up call and they definitely got it with Plyo. So happy to be back on the track. It’s still hard a month and a half now, but that’s because I haven’t been 100% in the program. So I can’t complain. But keeping it going is key. It’s not pretty, but it’s getting done. Later!
Well, now that I got that out of my system, I’m back! Had a great workout today. Most of the workout completed and most of Ab Ripper as well. I had a small window to work out and I got it in. So for that, I’m happy. Back on track and trying to get into shape before my cruise on March 3rd with the family. I’m kinda wishing my 8-pack was in order (yeah, right). But I’ll have to work with what I have and what I’m working on. (: Good workout. Hopefully more to come this week. The workout log doesn’t look pretty, but what I can be proud of – if I pulled this in the past, I would have quit and wanted to start over. I’m going to keep trucking and finish this program if it’s the last thing I do. I’m about 49% done. Good feeling. But man, I’m getting bored with it. /:
I said, I’m taking the weekend off! Not really, but I just didn’t get the workout done. No excuse. Red X time. Ouch.
Don’t ask. Taking the weekend off. Yes, X time. Sometimes you can’t possibly fit anymore into a day without killing yourself. I’m convinced either I keep myself that busy, or I’m not cut from the fabric of those who can master working out on top of ridiculously long days. Oh well. It may not be 100%, but it’s the next best thing. Haven’t given up yet!
Good workout today. Stretching is just what I needed. It never fails, if I’m out of the loop for awhile or have a few days off, the body tightens up luck crazy! So this is good to do and do often.
Weekend right around the corner. That’s great news in itself. We have to shoot pictures at work tomorrow. I wish I had a tan, paste face. Have a good one.
Rest day. Hooray. Out on the reporting beat today, so there’s no time!
Another busy day, but another modified workout. Got some good reps in today. I’ve been slacking on the blog a bit lately due to the fact I’m SO busy, but now I’m catching up. Feel the burn! Ouch. Pulled something. Kidding. Later.
Quick and dirty today. I was out of time so I did what I could to get in the workout. So it wasn’t impressive, but we got some of it in today. That’s starting to become a trend, so I need to buckle down and try to make more time for the workouts.
Monday, Monday. You’re not that great. It was tough to get out of bed and get moving today. I had a Spreecast this morning and some other work to get done on the web, but I got my workout in before work at the TV station.
This workout is pretty good. Upper body. Lot of pushups and dumbbell work. But I was fried again, so the performance was less than stellar. It’s been like a roller coaster. One day I’m hammering it, the next I could crash. Hmmmm. Maybe I should ask Dr. Oz.
Speaking of Dr. Oz, he was at the station today. We shot some news promos with him. What a cool guy. Down to earth and not an ego-maniac like many celebrities can be. Hoping the promo turned out well.
Monday almost in the books!
